East Stroudsburg Area School District is located in Monroe and Pike Counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The school district covers approximately 214 square miles with the Delaware River as its eastern border. The School District is comprised of the East Stroudsburg Borough and the townships of Smithfield, Middle Smithfield, and Price, all in Monroe County and the townships of Lehman and Porter, both in Pike County. ESASD is 85 miles north of Philadelphia, and 80 miles west of New York City. The District provides services for over 8100 students for the 2005-2006 school year and they are housed in 10 different schools.

It is located in Northeastern PA within the heart of the Pocono resort and recreation area. The district spans 305 square miles and serves a population of approximately 55,000 within seven municipalities and one borough in Monroe County including the Borough of Mount Pocono, and the Townships of Barrett, Coolbaugh, Jackson, Paradise, Pocono, Tobyhanna and Tunkhannock.

Brodheadsville and Southwestern Poconos The Pleasant Valley School District, located in the northeast sector of Pennsylvania in Monroe County, encompasses approximately 120 square miles. This dynamic community sits on the southern fringe of the greater Pocono Mountain recreation area. Recently, the school district's population has increased. In fact, the population is projected to reach 35,900 by the year 2010 and 43,700 by 2020. District-wide student enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year will be approximately 6,700.

Recreation and tourism represent the major employment categories in the district. Light retail business establishments have appeared in the last decade. The school system is the largest employer in the community.

The majority of residents are employed outside the district. Numerous residents commute to New Jersey and New York daily.

Lake Wallenpaupack School District - Lake Wallenpaupack The Wallenpaupack Area School District is located in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The school district is located in a predominately rural setting, drawing its student from a 325 square mile area of Wayne and Pike counties. The Wallenpaupack Area School District was formed in July, 1961. At that time the K-12 enrollment was 1,250 students; the district has experienced rapid growth over the last decade. District enrollment is currently approximately 4,000 students.
